Firstly- Welcome & thank you for clicking this far!
I thought my first post should give you a little insight in to who it is behind the screen writing this blog, so here goes..... I’m Ciara, I live in Melbourne, but I grew up on a farm in a teeny tiny little town called Harcourt. Yeah, I’m a real country kid. I loved every moment of growing up here and I often make the trip back home on weekends. I love pugs and animals, and seriously hope one day I can have a pug farm. However, for the time being, I’ll keep focusing on my career as a cosmetic injectables nurse. To be honest it took me a while to get here. I studied a few degrees before I knew exactly what I really wanted to do. I first started with a Bachelor of Science (Psychology), because the human brain fascinates me, however I soon figured out this was not the field I saw myself in long term. I decided I wanted to explore my creative side, so I went on to study Fashion Design at Whitehouse, what the.....? I know right, totally different areas! I loved parts of this degree, but overall it left me feeling unsatisfied, and so I decided to take some much needed time away from studying. It was during this time, that I realised I was interested in the cosmetic industry and thus decided I wanted to be a cosmetic injector. I knew this would allow me to utilise my science brain, whilst also allowing me to develop and explore my creative side. It really is the perfect mix for me personally. To get to this point, I had to do a Bachelor of Nursing. Which I really struggled through, like really really struggled through. I quite enjoyed the academic side of nursing, I find both the human body and biology very interesting, however found the practical side of things difficult, as it was not where my passion lay. Placements were the most difficult, I spent a lot of my time trying to figure out the most effective way to get out of my shifts early…. Ha. I somehow made it, and so here I am, finally pursuing the career I wanted to find and do for so long. Although I still have lots of training ahead of me I wanted to get this blog started. I want to be able to share with you the ins and outs of this job, the treatments that can be done and the results which can be seen. I plan to share other cosmetic treatments as well as product reviews and personal experiences. I really want those of you who have read this far through, to know that I am approachable, and I would love to hear from you. I know how daunting and intimidating this industry may seem, and it is often hard to seek advice or ask questions, but just know I am here to help guide and educate you to the best of my abilities! I really hope you enjoy my blog, and if you ever feel the need to reach out and connect, please do!
Love always,
C x
